"A seriously well thought out product. Bar stools far too often can be flimsy, unstable, uncomfortable, unsupportive and clumsy. The Hardy bar stool, from Woods, manages to address all these issues, whilst retaining elegance and style. It has a sturdy metal base, which doesn’t rely on the normal centre post, allowing for an overall lighter design, which is great for manoeuvrability. This type of construction normally gives up the swivel functionality, which makes centre post stools so appealing. In this case the designers have incorporated an ingenious swivel function into the underside of the seat, which allows the seat to turn 90 degrees in both directions, and also realigns itself once released. The seat is made of a very soft, and convincing, synthetic leather with well finished stitching; not the obvious plastic leather found on most stools. The backrest is uncommonly high for a barstool, which is refreshing, allowing the user to sit comfortably upright, rather than slouching. Delivery was prompt, and packaging was ample. Construction was quick and simple with clear instructions. This was the first time I’d bought from Woods, however the quality has resulted in swift return custom, for an equally superior quality table and chairs. Bravo."
